Hi there, i should've done this a month ago when this happened on this blog just to make things clear to whoever frequents this page for info re: Hive

To any concerned!

Just letting you all know that after the past 6 months of building up The Hive, I am choosing to step aside from productions there.

I am really grateful for your contribution and support - and have had some wicked fun times with y'all - both artists and punters! Thank you!!

Not to say I'll be stopping creating events though! I'm just going to take them to various unique places around Seoul...so keep in touch :)
If we aren't connected here, add me - and I'll be sure to give you info about what I'm up to with new stuff. Also! I'm open to collaborations for creations and as usual interested in those with talents & abilities who are seeking something more...either from their time here, or just in themselves.

The Hive will continue on under new management - so refer to them when inquiring etc.

Opening Night was a riot!

For those who made it out - BANGMAN did the honors of playing the first live set at The Hive - and sucked us all in. Try this on for multi-tasking: playing drums, keyboards,

using effects AND syncing it with visuals? There was plenty of gushing going on after a hushed crowd ate up the sounds of his self-coined style "groovin' batteria". If you missed out, never fear! Ripley Radadoom will be back to grace the stage in the near future.

The night only kept on jumpin' with some of Seouls' favorite DJs to hit the decks:
OilCan Boyd laying down his signature old school hip hop and funk set, followed by two veterans to DJing: Mr.Fudge & Russtafari.

The ode to Michael Jackson was just what the crowd ordered and not a single bum wasn't shaking to pay respects to the recently passed. Well done fellas! ;)

The incredibly talented: Melissa Kelman, showed us exactly how mesmerizing her fire fans could be and did a belly dance number as well.

Closing out the night was Hive resident 'sound guy': Marko Nation: happy to pick up the pace and feed us some funk in the house format.

For those who stayed to the very end - J-Path played to the dnb devout who skanked their way out the door in the wee hours.

A hive of a different sort is (almost) in effect in Seoul!

June 27th sees the beginning of a new collaboration of elements hoping to inspire, generate and exhibit the variety of awesomeness that Seoul's creative community has to so readily offer.

A space in downtown Itaewon - The Hive will be preparing for an ongoing rotation of music, art, dance & specialized learning clinics on subjects not easily found in Korea or in English!

Look forward to attending one of the Hive Clinics:
- Sound (music production/DJ Academy)
- Movement (acting/dance)
- Media (video/VJing)
- Lifestyle

or just coming for the live and electronic music - which promises to be a consistent assortment of organic, funky, soulful & extremely dance-able selections.

There is always room for more ideas and creativity and now there is a supportive space to do it in.
